My initial thought was “oh that poor gentleman, that got saddled with the task of buying something intended for his wife” as very few guys spend much time around the sewing department. After that I assumed possibly he was a stalker and I had to keep an eye on that person. Neither of those summations was accurate once I paid attention to him make issues to the salesperson. This guy wasn’t some sort of “hen pecked” spouse or perhaps a stalker, just a male on a quest.
